About Rosy

As a kid, I would fill my hands with miscellaneous items, and fashion them together into tiny works of art. Nothing was off limits: tinfoil, candle wax, office supplies, yarn, magazine clippings. It used to drive my mother crazy, but she never discouraged me from making beauty as I saw fit. Now, I spend a large portion of my time creating pieces of functional art.

My goods are much more intentional these days. I primarily work with vintage fabrics to make one of a kind quilts, or spend hours carving away at linoleum blocks for print making. Occasionally, I move into three dimensional projects with metal, leather, or clay. Never forgetting the importance of all who have passed their knowledge on to me, I also invest time into my community as a volunteer master gardener and master preserver.

I've spent the last few years living in community and the decade previous working in the nonprofit sector. Through these experiences, I've learned to value the love and energy commitments required to completing projects from start to finish. I have come to love the feel of fabric scraps floating across my lap, the sound of vegetables chopped by hand, and the smell of clean earth beneath my feet.

Now that I have a little one of my own, I am using my creative tendencies to finance the purchase and renovation of our first home. I am working in earnest to create uniquely beautiful works of functional art for homes all over, sending little slices of love from our hearts to yours. I hope to use my skills and sweat to bring the home of our dreams to life.

Won't you support our journey to home?

"Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.
But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:
To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love’s ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude;
And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips."
